MOUNT VERNON — Zac Hammons has been granted a continuance of temporary custody of six-month-old Hunter Hammons. According to Magistrate Jeffrey C. Williams, it was in the best interest of the child to grant temporary custody to his father, who will be returning to Texas by the end of March.

Hammons will be reporting back to the Army at Fort Hood where he will return to an apartment shared with his wife, Jessica Williams Hammons. Zac’s parents, Garry and Judy Hammons, will also be moving to Texas to assist in any further needs, and will live next door to Zac and Jessica.
