MOUNT VERNON — When she’s not working at the Mount Vernon YMCA or at Snow Trails Winter Resort in Bellville, Diana Ready is busy being active.

It’s not the typical life of a 63-year-old.

“When I’m racing (on a bicycle) I have to keep an eye on my heartrate,” Ready told the News, referring to a watch that keeps track of her vitals. “We old grannies have to be careful, you know.”
