HILLIARD — The state wrestling tournament has been a family event for the Lybargers for some time now. For years, the family has traveled to Columbus or Dayton to watch a family member wrestle in the state tournament.

This year, it’s going to be even bigger as two Lybargers will be wrestling at Ohio State’s Schottenstein Center. And they’re bringing some friends along as well.

Mount Vernon qualified four wrestlers for state competition during Saturday’s Division I District wrestling tournament at Hilliard Darby. Matthew and Matteo Lybarger, as well as Ben Tate and Lane Hinkle, all qualified in the top four at the district tournament.
