MOUNT VERNON — Republicans dominate Knox County government, but November’s statewide election looms large. GOP faithful gathered at The Station Break Saturday for their annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner and were encouraged to rally behind Governor John Kasich’s team.

Two incumbents running statewide addressed the gathering, and virtually every Republican official with Knox County ties worked the room or was represented. Ohio Supreme Court Justice Sharon Kennedy spoke after Secretary of State Jon Husted’s keynote address and joked about her name.
