MOUNT VERNON – The Center for Pain Management at Knox Community Hospital (KCH) helps patients get chronic pain under control. Recently, the Pain Management Group (PMG), which partners with hospitals and health-care systems like KCH across the Midwest, received the 2022 Silver Commitment to Excellence Award from the Partnership for Excellence (TPE).
The awards represent Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia’s highest honor for performance excellence through innovation, results and visionary leadership. PMG is one of four organizations to receive an award this year.
To receive this award, PMG was evaluated by an independent board of examiners in seven areas: leadership, strategy, customers, measurement, analysis and knowledge management, workforce, and operations and results. The evaluation process included more than 1,000 hours of review, a site visit and more.
Through PMG’s commitment to excellence, the KCH Pain Management Center implements socially and medically responsible pain management services. Approximately 19.6 million Americans suffer from chronic pain that limits their daily activities. The Center for Pain Management at KCH offers treatment for shingles pain, work-related injuries, arthritis, back and neck pain, CRPS, nerve damage/muscle spasms and sciatica. Individually regimented treatment plans may include physical therapy, medication management, and/or minimally invasive interventional procedures and modalities.
