MOUNT VERNON — Coralie A. Sabanos, 77, of Depolo Road North, Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014, at MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield. She was born Feb. 20, 1937, in Chesterland, Ohio, to the late Hayden and Sadie (Laube) Musser. Before moving to the Apple Valley area in 1992 from Strongsville, Ohio, Coralie worked as a beautician for senior living homes in the area. Coralie worked in the deli and bakery departments at Kroger in Mount Vernon. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating, bowling and golfing. Coralie was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, George Sabanos Sr., whom she married Oct. 20, 1956; a son, George Sabanos Jr. of Charles Town, W.Va.; a daughter, Debra (Richard) DiMeo of Cedar Park, Texas; three grandchildren, Hillary Youngman of Austin, Texas, Thomas (Janessa) Sabanos of Lynchburg, Va., and Michael Sabanos of Catlett, Va.; and goddaughter, Marcy Smithhisler of Mount Vernon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter VanLuit; and three sisters, Claire Crumpton, Betty Needham and Jean Tedrick.
Friends may call Thursday, from 10-11:45 a.m., at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, at noon, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 303 East High St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond will be celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
