FREDERICKTOWN — William G. McIntyre, 78, of Fredericktown passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.

He was born in Fairfield, Conn., to the late George and Marion (DeBaun) McIntyre. Bill was last employed as an Electronics Technician for the Orton Foundation in Westerville. He was a loyal Boston Red Sox fan, and Ohio State Buckeyes fan where he volunteered in the sports information department at the University. Bill was also a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1957-1960.

He is survived by his wife, of over 55 years, Barbara “Bobbie” (Senes) McIntyre; three sons, Timothy (Lori) of Grove City, David (Ronda) of Columbus, and Jeffrey (Beth) of Dublin; five grandchildren, Stuart, Ian, Tadhg, Riley and Reese; and his sister, Betty (Patrick) Carolan of Fairfield, Conn.

There will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private service at a later date. The Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown is honored to serve the family of William G. McIntyre.

Memorial contributions, in Bill’s name, may be made to Fredericktown E.M.S. or to the Palliative Care Unit at the Knox Community Hospital.
