BUTLER — John C. Booth, 52, of Butler, passed away unexpectedly March 28, 2014. He was born March 21, 1962 in Mount Vernon to John F. and Sharon (Gallagher) Booth.
John was a founding member of Fast Eddy’s Ground Maintenance and played an irreplaceable role in the growth and success of the company. John enjoyed his work and his deep friendship with Eddy and Jamie Stewart. John loved spending time with his daughter, Brandy, and his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.
John is survived by his daughter, Brandy Booth; his parents, John and Sharon Booth; two brothers, Scott (Beth) Booth and Jason (Marj) Booth; two sisters, Sheryl (Doug) Rusher and Melissa Booth Lobdell; nieces and nephews, Jordan, Breann, Alex, Ryan, JD, Cameron and Jacob; and lifetime family friend, Angie Horn.
John was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Mary Gallagher, and John and Stella Booth.
Friends may call at Mount Vernon First Church of the Nazarene, 807 Coshocton Ave., in Mount Vernon, on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a celebration of life service to follow with Pastor Russ Gumm officiating. The family will observe a private burial. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Homes are handling the services for the Booth family.
