MOUNT VERNON — Persia F. (Campbell) Rhodes, 83, of Mount Vernon, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the County Court Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 4, 1930, in Howard, to the late Perry and Devilla (Devore) Bricker. Persia retired from the Mount Vernon Developmental Center where she worked as an aide. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Mount Vernon. Persia loved to spend her time with family members, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She is survived by her son, James (Betty) Campbell; three brothers, twin, Perry Bricker Jr., Glen Bricker and Max (Kay) Bricker; a sister, Leona Blubaugh; two grandchildren, Jerry (Robin) Campbell and Chris Campbell; and three great-grandchildren, Rhianon Campbell, Ethan Campbell and Logan Hanson.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Harley Campbell; second husband, William Rhodes; son, Robert Campbell; and a granddaughter, Jodi Campbell-Hanson.

There will be a private family graveside service at a later date, officiated by Brother Charles Blubaugh.
