BARNESVILLE – Daniel R. “Shultz” Shuman, 49, of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born Dec. 4, 1964, in Barnesville to Samuel L. and Marlene (Hutchison) Shuman Sr.
Shultz was a 1983 graduate of Barnesville High School and a graduate of Wright State. He was a lifelong musician of Ammunition, Zen Cowboyzz and Shuman Band. He worked at the Alternative Center in Mount Vernon, Fairborn Police Department, and Children Services in Cambridge.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel L. Shuman Sr.; stepson, Joshua Mead; and nephew, Ben Cox.
He is survived by his mother, Marlene Shuman of Barnesville; wife, Jennifer (Derexson) Shuman of Barnesville; brother, Samuel L. (Melissa) Shuman Jr. of Mount Vernon; sister, Valerie (Steve) Bolton of Florida; two stepsons, Matthew Mead of Colorado and Joseph (Debbie) Mead of Cambridge; stepgrandchildren, Chrissy, Hunter, Kimberly, Abigail, Aiden, Rilee and Camryn; stepgreat-grandchild, baby Molly; and nieces and nephews, Leeanne Cox, Brandon Bolton, Jesse, Dylan, Nathan, Cole and Gabe Shuman.
Visitation will be Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ed Eberhart officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
