FREDERICKTOWN — Philip D. Regal, 77, of Yankee Street, Fredericktown, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at the Knox Community Hospital.
He was born Sept. 24, 1936, in Lorain County, Ohio, to the late Theodore and Fern (Horton) Regal. Philip was employed as a truck driver and farmer for the McFarland Brothers. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by three sons, Don (Candice) Regal of Wellington, Philip Regal Jr. of Elyria, and Richard (Renee Minick) Regal of Lorain; two daughters, Terrie Jefferies of Elyria and Margie (Ed) Kerman of Amherst; 23 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his brother, Jim (Marilyn) Regal of Wellington; and two sisters, Cheryl Gallatin of Nova and Marilyn Foster of Florida.
Besides his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelia Regal; two grandchildren, Ashley Regal and Chucky Basham; his brother, Bill Regal and his sister, Shirley Reed.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 15, beginning at 11 a.m., at the Fredericktown First Church of God, with Pastor Richard Prater officiating.
