FREDERICKTOWN — Helen M. Campbell, 92, of South Main Street, Fredericktown, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at the Knox Community Hospital.

She was born Oct. 29, 1921, in Grove City, Pa., to the late Frank and Harriet (Brown) Bartley. Mrs. Campbell was a graduate of Slippery Rock College in Pennsylvania where she earned her teaching degree. She was employed as a substitute teacher in the Fredericktown School System and also served as a Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Campbell loved to sing and was a member of the Harmonettes at the United Presbyterian Church in Harrisville, Pa. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fredericktown.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean Campbell of Fredericktown and Carol (Craig) Strater of Bellville; her son, Robert L. Campbell of Fredericktown; two grandchildren, Eric (Amanda) Strater and Casey Strater; and a very special person that Helen considered a daughter, Rebecca Pariseau.

Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Campbell; her sister, Evelyn Critchlow; and two brothers, Earl and Frank Bartley.

Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 3 p.m., at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. A service will follow beginning at 3 p.m. A private burial will take place at Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Sound System Fund, 17 S. Main St., Fredericktown, OH 43019.
