DAVENPORT, Fla. — Edwin L. Huff, 79, of W. Lemon Street, formerly of Mount Vernon, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Davenport, Fla.
He was born May 13, 1934, in Cumberland, Ohio, to the late Forrest C. and Alice (Martin) Huff. He was a graduate of Withrow High School in Cincinnati, and he served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1955-59. He married Mary Lou (Hawkins) Huff on Oct. 25, 1974, who preceded him in death Oct. 9, 2000. He was a retired salesman for Century Windows of Mount Vernon.
He is survived by two daughters, Sue Boles of Davenport, Fla., and Roberta Hengartner of Elyria, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Linda Zimmerman, and a stepson, Carl Wright, both of Mount Gilead; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Huff of Newark, and James Huff of London; and three sisters, Jane Nance of Springfield, Barbara Stimpert of Mount Vernon and Deb Quinn of Perry, Ga.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, at 2 p.m., at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Wesley Humble officiating. Burial will follow in Darling Run Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard. Visitation is one hour prior to service time.
