MOUNT VERNON — Forest C. “Jim” Roberts, 89, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Glouster, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at his residence. Born March 6, 1924, in Hollister, he was the son of the late James and Jessie Humphrey Roberts. He was a painter at J.B. Webbs in Mount Vernon.

He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Losh of Mount Vernon and Bonnie (Dan) Quehl of Washington State; one son, James Roberts of Mount Vernon; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eva Medley of Zanesville.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Murphy Roberts; two sons, Dave and Randy Roberts; one daughter, Kathy White; one great-grandson; three brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, at 1 p.m., at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville, with Rick Seiter officiating. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster.
