FREDERICKTOWN — Linda L. Hinger, 69, of Fredericktown, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at her home following a courageous battle with declining health. She was born on Aug. 2, 1944, in Mount Vernon, daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Berry) Rine.
Linda had worked for the former J.B. Foote Foundry and later for Rite Aid in Fredericktown. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Linda is survived by her children, Pam (Steve) Little of Etna, Sheila (Tom) Casteel of Marengo and Shawn (Lori) Hinger of Fredericktown; grandchildren, Chris Hinger of Columbus, Rob Hinger of West Palm Beach, Fla., Dylan Casteel of Marengo and Lauryn Casteel of Marengo; great-grandchild, Brooklyn Hinger; sister, Shirley Shoults of Warsaw; brother, Phil (Paulette) Rine of Fredericktown; many nieces and nephews; and several special friends and caregivers.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, William Hinger.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service, at 1 p.m., at Snyder Funeral Home, 33 E. College St., Fredericktown, with Pastor Richard Prater officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
