MOUNT VERNON — Frank R. Meyer, 83, of Mount Vernon, passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at his home.
He was born May 30, 1930, in Mount Vernon, to the late Paul William and Della Mary (Harding) Meyer.
Frank was a lifelong member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He also was a Korean War Army Veteran.
Frank is survived by a sister-in-law, M. Lucille Meyer of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Ruth Meyer, Mary Teresa Meier, Hazel Marie Boeshart, Ethelreda Overmeyer and Dorothy A. Collins; and three brothers, Rev. Paul Wayne Meyer, Charles Meyer and William Meyer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, at 10 a.m., at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is handling the funeral arrangements for the Meyer family.
