MOUNT VERNON — James H. “Jim” White, 62, of Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at Knox Community Hospital.
He was born Dec. 10, 1951, in Richmond, Va., and was the son of the late Harry Edward and Anna Lee (Orsborn) White.
Jim worked for AMG Industries. He was an Army Veteran, member of the Moose and Elks Lodge, and a past president with Kiwanis Club. Jim was an avid golfer playing on several leagues, and belonged to the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) where he played racquetball and wallyball regularly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kim White; son, Kevin White of Dresden; daughter, Shirley (Seth) Tickle of Canal Winchester; granddaughters, Anna and Emily White; a brother, Ed (Paula) White of Mount Vernon; and two sisters, Carol (Russ) Reed of Ontario and Debbie (Tim) Henson of Germany.
Friends may call Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where funeral services will be held Saturday, at 11 a.m., with Mr. Roger Tickle officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
