CENTERBURG — Howard W. Hoffman, 79, of Centerburg, passed away Monday morning, Jan. 13, 2014, at his home. He was born in Mansfield on March 3, 1934, to Howard C. Hoffman and Margaret (Wilson) Hoffman.

Howard honorably served his country in the Air Force.

Howard is survived by his wife and best friend, Jane (Gaumer) Hoffman whom he married Dec. 11, 1970. He is also survived by a brother, Tom (Janice) Hoffman of Yonkers, N.Y.; and a sister, Cynthia (Bill) Lingafelter of Boynton Beach, Fla.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; special aunts, Jeanette Wilson, Bette Wilson and Martha Sponsler; and uncles, Jim Wilson and Jack Wilson. He was also preceded and survived by many canine and feline companions.

In following Howard’s wish, there will not be any services.
