MOUNT VERNON — Christine Janette Staats, 50, formerly of Danville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at the Country Club Retirement Campus Apartments.
She was born May 31, 1963, in Loudonville, to Ned E. and Martha C. (Greer) Staats.
Christine was a member of the Greer Wesleyan Church and had been a server at Spearman’s Restaurant in Millwood.
She is survived by her mother, Martha C. Staats of Danville; three sisters, Ann (David) Fruth of Amelia, Pam Cross of Boiling Springs, S.C., and Joanne (Lance) Boone of Howard; two brothers, Tom (Robin) Staats and Brian (Lanna) Staats of Danville; and 14 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ned E. Staats; and her grandparents, Harold and Mary Staats.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m., at The Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church on Chapel Road in Danville, with Pastor Don Hosier officiating. Private burial was held today at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
