CENTERBURG — Daniel B. Pribbenow, 55, of Centerburg, died Thursday evening, Jan. 9, 2014, at Centerburg Pointe in Centerburg.
He was born May 12, 1958, in New Bern, N.C., to the late Gerald Pribbenow and Barbara (Morrison) Pribbenow of Centerburg. Daniel spent his childhood with family and friends in Wisconsin, and has lived in the Centerburg area for 44 years.
Daniel was a diligent worker who enjoyed growing vegetables in his large garden and sharing the wares of his labor with others. He grew corn, potatoes and green beans, and enjoyed seeing people enjoy his delicious vegetables. He also loved wood working and built beautiful birdhouses.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Pribbenow of Centerburg; brother, Dale (Vicki) Pribbenow of Fredericktown; sisters, Lori (Jeff) Miller, and Mari (Ronnie) Ross both of Centerburg; nieces and nephews, Joshua and Isaiah Pribbenow, Nickolas, Tyler and Luke Miller, Katie Tocheff, Zachary Ross and Jenna Rabaino; uncle, David (Karen) Morrison of Oshkosh, Wisc.; and special uncle and aunt, Lewis and George Ann Kinney of Centerburg.
Preceded by his father, Gerald Pribbenow; grandparents, Joseph and Lorraine Pribbenow, and Bruce and Blanche Morrison; and nieces, Grace Ann and Abbigail Ross.
Friends may call Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury; and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service Monday, with Rev. Isaiah Pribbenow officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
