MOUNT VERNON — Steven “Foo” Pfouts, 57, of Elizabeth Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born Jan. 12, 1956, in Mount Vernon, to the late Francis and Leisle (Swadner) Pfouts. Steve was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns, and he was very active in girls slow pitch softball. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by two brothers, Craig Pfouts of Fredericktown and Coby (Joyce) Pfouts of Mount Vernon; and a sister, Kristy (Mitchell) Railing of Howard.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at 11 a.m., at the New Life Community Church, 9955 State Route 95, Fredericktown, OH 43019. The family will observe a private burial in Mound View Cemetery. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is handling arrangements for the Pfouts family.
