ENGLEWOOD, Fla. — Gertrude Elizabeth “Peg” Kirk, 95, of Englewood, Fla., went home to the Lord on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013. She passed away in Englewood.
Peg was born July 6, 1918, in Middlebourne, W.Va., to Rolly and Arizona (Smith) Summers. She was a former owner/operator of Kirk’s Red & White grocery store in Millwood, and an employee of Big Bear grocery store in Mount Vernon. She was a member of Englewood Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Sue) Kirk of Englewood and Donald (Joe Ann) Kirk of Fredericktown; grandchildren, Timothy Lewis (Jane) Kirk, Heidi (Steve) Ehret; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Tyler, Brittany and Haley; step-grandchildren, Tory (Vicky) Osborne, Scottie (Nikki) Osborne; her brother, Bob Summers of Tennessee; and sisters, Dot (John) Davis of Englewood, Naomi (Russ) Miller of Fredericktown and Nellie Ferenbaugh of Danville. Peg was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Kirk; six brothers and three sisters.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice.
There will be no calling hours or services.
