FREDERICKTOWN — Judd entered eternal life peacefully Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He battled kidney cancer for over a year and a half, and we were so blessed to share our lives with such a remarkable, compassionate, strong and loving man. He was born Dec. 15, 1961, attended Fredericktown High School, and graduated with the Class of 1980 where he was voted most popular and funniest. Those traits have carried through his life as he was well-liked and he maintained his good sense of humor to the end.
Judd was a born-again Christian and Christ was an important part of his life. He attended CCAD for four years pursuing his creative interests in the fine arts. He made a career of dry wall and helped Habitat for Humanity with nearly twenty houses. He was passionate about his art, and in his spare time he would enjoy the therapeutic feeling of painting, drawing, creating cartoons and writing. He played bass in several bands for thirty years and played in worship service at the River of Life Church in Butler.
He was loving and proud to spend time with his daughters, and enjoyed watching the Buckeyes play on Saturdays. He also enjoyed movies, music and reading the Bible. Judd was good at getting people to smile as he had a big heart and was an excellent listener. He has touched so many lives and his presence in our lives is a gift we are very thankful for.
He is survived by his daughters, Ashley and Miranda; his parents, Carmon and Betty Weller; one granddaughter, Ivorie; his sister, Tracie; and brother, Jeffrey (Marj) Weller all of Fredericktown; four nieces and a nephew; and two great-nieces and a great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Esther Weller and Glorene Bixler; and grandfather, Lester Weller.
Calling hours will be held today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at River of Life Church, 111 West Elm Street, Butler, where memorial services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Bill Lewis will officiate and burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the River of Life Church may be made at the church or be sent to in care of Snyder Funeral Home, P.O. Box 338 Bellville, OH 44813.
