MOUNT VERNON — Mary E. Blair, 64, of Mount Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, Dec. 8, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Dec. 18, 1948, in Gambier, daughter of the late William H. and Mildred (Lancaster) Straight. Mary retired from the Country Court Nursing Home where she was a housekeeper. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with her family. Mary loved playing cards.
Mary is survived by her children, Francis Blair Jr. of Mount Vernon, Ronald (Heather) Blair of Mansfield, Loretta (Greg) Stoutenburgh of Mount Vernon and Michelle (Josh) Graham of Mount Vernon; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Brown of New York; 22 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Carolyn) Straight and Carl (Sally) Straight; sisters, Nina (Harold) Knox, Nancy Peck and Teresa (Donald) Ridenour; and special friends, Shirley Wyman and Ben Conkle.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Francis M. “Frank” Blair Sr.; brothers, Gary and David Straight; and sister, Maxine Kromoft.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, with Pastor Rae Anderson officiating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
