MOUNT VERNON — Marilyn A. O’Brien, 73, of Orange City, Fla., and Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, in Florida, due to an extended illness. She was born Aug. 5, 1940, in Mount Vernon, to the late Verne E. Davies and Ruth E. Maxwell-Quiniff. O’Brien worked for the State of Ohio as a nurse and was a Jehovah’s Witness.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene M. O’Brien; children, Scott O’Brien and Deborah John; brothers, Mike Davies and Brian Todd Davies; her sister, Marcia McMahon; and one grandchild.
Friends may call Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A service will follow beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be held in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
