SPRINGFIELD — Glenn Alan Bostic, 53, of Springfield, passed away peacefully Oct. 29, 2013, surrounded by his loving family and is now in the arms of his Savior.
Glenn was born Feb. 25, 1960, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the son of Clarence and Nora (Childress) Bostic. Glenn married the love of his life, Drucilla (Rice) Bostic on March 10, 2001, and proudly graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in business. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and family. He loved being in God’s creation, whether that was fishing or riding his motorcycle and taking in nature. A big passion in his life was music, and he loved playing his guitar, harmonica and singing. He was known as a man of integrity who loved God with his whole heart; he loved and served others unselfishly.
Along with his wife, Dru, Glenn is survived by one son, Ryan Bostic; a daughter, Rachel (Casey) Tyson; three stepchildren, Amy (Scott) Mathison, Melissa Hall and William Rexroth; his mother, Nora; one brother, Bruce (Mary) Bostic; one sister, Joyce (Dick) Wilder; and 11 grandchildren, Tucker, Tatum, Teagan, Mollie, Kole, Gabe, Luke, Camron, Dominic, Kiera and William, as well as a set of twins on the way. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence.
Glenn was a beloved husband, father, papaw, son and friend. He will be greatly missed but will live on in our hearts and fond memories.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m.; Rick Rice officiating. Burial at Ferncliff Cemetery.
