LANCASTER — E. Winifred (Lininger) Chisholm, 97, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at The Inn at Fairfield Village in Lancaster, Ohio.

She was born May 5, 1916, in Grove City, Pa., to the late Norman and Evelyn (Diefenderfer) Lininger. Winifred was a member of the Gay Street United Methodist Church and was heavily involved in the Women’s church group. She and her husband were avid bridge players and loved to spend time with the card club. Winifred also enjoyed playing golf, but most of all loved to spend time with her family.

Winifred is survived by her son, John (Paula) Kenmuir of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Rebecca (William) Parrott of Lancaster and Judith (Mark) Denmon of Lexington, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Chisholm; a son, Kenneth D. Chisholm Jr.; one granddaughter; and one sister.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. A committal service will follow in Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gay Street United Methodist Church, 18 N. Gay St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
