MOUNT VERNON — Jackie G. “Jack” Seko, born Feb. 14, 1931, to George and Mary Seko, older brother to Rose Smith, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 15, 2013.
Jack was a wonderful friend and always made others feel at ease. You’ve heard of a green thumb, Jack had two green hands. Jack enjoyed many summers tending to vegetable gardens.
Jack retired from Kenyon College after serving 16 years in the kitchen. However, once retired, Jack continued to work at Midwest Innovations, working on wood projects, gardening and puzzles.
Jack was on Earth for 82 years, yet the memory of him and who he was will continue to live thru the stories and pictures for many more years to come.
Jack will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Station Break, 160 Howard St. in Mount Vernon. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Homes are handling the funeral services for the Seko family.
