MARENGO — Herbert E. Dusenbury, 90, of Marengo, passed away Oct. 17, 2013, at Kobacker House in Columbus.
The youngest of five brothers born to George Henry and Lydia (Schirtzinger) Dusenbury on Aug. 6, 1923, in Westerville, Ohio. Herbert served with the U.S. Army 8th Air Corps in World War II. He was a lifelong cabinet maker and owned and operated Dusenbury Cabinets.
Survived by his children, Peggy A. Barnes, Sharon D. Lee, Francis M. Dusenbury and Deborah S. McMurrough; seven grandchildren, Shawn Lee, Bret Reynolds, Trish Mayhorn, Rhonda Tharp, Tyler Barnes, Ad’m Dusenbury, Ann Billo; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Herbert was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Mae Barklow.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon. Graveside service and burial at Bloomfield Cemetery will be held Monday at 11 a.m.
