MOUNT VERNON — Jeannette E. Shackle, 89, of Yauger Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Kindred Health Care in Mansfield.
She was born Aug. 25, 1924, in Warren, Ohio, to the late Russell and Esther (Sharpnack) Stewart. Jeannette was employed as a masseuse at the Mount Vernon YMCA. She previously worked for the Mount Vernon Board of Education, the Knox County JVS and Moundbuilders. Jeannette was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church here in Mount Vernon. She enjoyed Jazz Music and especially Frank Sinatra. But most of all, Jeannette loved the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Patrice Shackle of Mount Vernon; her son, Timothy (Carol) Shackle of Denver, Colo.; her grandson, Juston (Kimberly) Shackle of Mount Vernon; her granddaughter, Paige Shackle of Denver, Colo.; her great-granddaughters, Briana Shackle and Cali Shackle of Mount Vernon; and her special friend, Ruth Shackle.
Besides her parents, Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Shackle.
There will be no calling hours. There will be a graveside service on Monday beginning at 11 a.m. at Saint Peter Cemetery in Loudonville, with Pastor Mark Wildermuth officiating.
