MOUNT VERNON — Everett A. Chrisman, 94, of East Gambier Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born May 12, 1919, in Brandon, Ohio, to the late Arthur and Cora (Miller) Chrisman. Everett was employed as a Supervisor for the Miller Lighting Company. He was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association. Everett loved the outdoors and hunting. He was a veteran serving in the United States Army during World War II from 1941 to 1945.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Martin) Chrisman; his nephew, David Chrisman of Mount Vernon; two nieces, Debra Chrisman of Columbus and Susan (Craig) Yarger of Custer; and his brother, Max (Carol) Chrisman of Granville.
Besides his parents, Everett was preceded in death by his brother, Ned Chrisman.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service, with military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veteran’s Council, will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, beginning at 1 p.m., in Brandon Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Haught officiating.
