MANSFIELD — Phillip D. Ransom passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013.
Phil was an avid race fan — just experiencing his last race at Eldora a couple of weeks ago. He loved his family and enjoyed many friends. He loved the outdoors and was a fan of OSU, the Indians and the Browns.
Phil is survived by his spouse of 22 years, Diana Haumesser; four daughters, Chris Parker (Ron See), Terri (Shawn) DeWitt, Mary Gilbert and Trudy (Scott) McKnight; brother, Dennis (Margaret) Ransom; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Ransom; and his mother, Margaret “Dard” Ransom.
Friends and family are invited to Phil’s celebration of life reception, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the VFW Post 9943, 806 Grace St., Mansfield.
The Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is assisting the family with compassionate cremation services.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations to Ohio Fuzzy Pawz of Pataskala, Ohio, or Wounded Warrior Project be made through the funeral home.
