MOUNT VERNON — Norma J. Twigg, 84, of Old Mansfield Road, Mount Vernon, passed away at her home Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013.
She was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Illinois, to the late Forrest C. and Emily Oneita (Highsmith) Parker. Norma was employed as a Pharmacy Technician at the Knox Community Hospital for over 30 years.
She is survived by four daughters, Donna (Dennis) Conner of Mount Vernon, Catherine (Harold) Asburay of Wooster, Bonita (Justin) Steward of Mount Vernon and Carol Moran of Mount Vernon; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Nadine (Cecil) McCullough of Mount Vernon.
Besides her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her second husband, Lloyd Hunter; her third husband, Tom Twigg; her son, George Simpkins Jr.; her brother, Vaughn Parker; her sister, Mary Keolla; a granddaughter; and one great-grandchild.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Thursday at Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon beginning at 11 a.m., with Pastor Andy Angel officiating.
