MOUNT VERNON — Betty A. Tice, 68, of Shirley Avenue, Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 16, 1945, in Mount Vernon, to the late Clarence Stacey and Helen (Smith) Huffman.
She is survived by her husband, Bryan Tice; four daughters, Suzi (Don) Endsley, Tamara (Ernie) Smith, Tina Cousins and Stacie (Gus) Behrens; grandson, Robert (Robbie) Behrens; granddaughter, Latashia (Scott) Hinkle; 10 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Bill Stacey and Thomas (Theresa) Stacey; four sisters, Lucille (Jay) Kennedy, Mavis (Jay) Ellison, Mary (Linn) Freeman and Ruth (Phil) Sigman; and her canine companion, Lacey Jo.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Wayne Shellenbarger and Larry Ferris; two sons, Robert Huffman and Byron Shellenbarger; stepfather, Charles Huffman; sister, Altie Ellen Stacey; and sister-in-law, Peggy Stacey.
The family will observe a memorial service at a later date. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home is handling the services for the Tice family.
