Ruth E. Butler
SPARTA — Ruth Evelyn Butler, 82, of Sparta died Thursday morning, Aug. 23, 2007, at the Morning View Care Center of Centerburg.

Michael D. Davis
MOUNT VERNON — Michael D. Davis, 46, of Mount Vernon passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield. The North-Dilley Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is handling the arrangements.

Mary Grib
MOUNT VERNON — Mary Grib, 98, of Mount Vernon passed away Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 22, 2007, at the Country Court Nursing Home in Mount Vernon.

She was born Jan. 22, 1909, in Torrington, Conn. She was a homemaker, and loved gardening, crocheting and cooking. She was also Catholic by faith.

Surviving Mary is her son, Stephen Grib, and his wife, Mildred, of Mount Vernon.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Grib; a brother, Alexander Dobrzynski; and a sister, Gertrude Kozyrski.

In following with Mary’s wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes will be inurned in the St. Charles Resurrection Cemetery in New York.

Aryan T. Moore
MOUNT VERNON — Aryan Thomas Moore, infant son of Michael T. and Ashley D. (Stringfellow) Moore went to be one of Jesus’ little angels on Wednesday morning, Aug. 22, 2007, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.

In addition to his parents, Aryan is survived by a half sister, Ivee Hall of Mount Vernon; paternal grandmother, Katherine Davis of Mount Vernon; paternal grandfather, Rick Yeatman of Mount Vernon; maternal grandmother, Christine Stringfellow of Fredericktown; maternal grandfather, Stanley Shaffer of Mount Vernon; great-grandparents, Thomas and Linda Moore of Clendenin, W.Va., and John and Sue Shaffer of Fredericktown; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will have a graveside service in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens today at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Blevins officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.

Dorothy Sabo
WESTERVILLE — Dorothy “Dottie” Sabo, 90, of Westerville passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at her home, surrounded by her family, after a short but brave battle with cancer.

Dottie was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sigmond Sabo; and her son, Victor Sabo.

She is survived by sons, Dick (Mary Sue) Sabo and Terry (Paula) Sabo; daughters, Dee (Paul) Fronk and Mary (Ron) Nelson; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of loving friends, especially her neighbors Bob and Billie Bower and her loving nurse Kelly Marko.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m. at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1652 Oakland Park Ave., Columbus, with the Rev. David E. Gwinner as celebrant. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus.

Charles M. Steward
MANSFIELD — Charles Martin Steward, 90, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, after a long illness.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Finefrock-Williams Funeral Home, 350 Marion Ave., Mansfield, where the funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Brian Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery.
