BLADENSBURG — Carrie Gallwitz, 85, of Bladensburg passed
away Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. The
Harris-Dilley Funeral Home of Bladensburg are handling the arrangements.
Eleanor M. Ralston
MOUNT VERNON — On August 20, 2007, at Autumn Health
Care, Eleanor Mae Ralston, age 96, of Mount Vernon, passed on to her heavenly
new life.
In June of 1911, Eleanor was born in Mount Vernon and treasured her years of working for Dr. J.M. Pumphrey after her MVHS graduation. After marrying George Ralston her life was dedicated to God, her family and her church. She was a patient, kind, and gentle lady, an exacting and beautiful seamstress, and a talented pianist and artist. Her legacy includes many lovely original oil paintings she has created. She was a faithful 82 year member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ; where she shared her faith as a church school teacher for many years.
Eleanor is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, George H. Ralston. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Lawrence) Vail of Mount Vernon and Sheila (Ronald) Wagner of Chillicothe; one granddaughter, Lizbeth (Steven) Kelley of Westerville; two grandsons, Kevin (Nicole) Wagner and Christopher (Anita) Wagner both of Chillicothe; five great-grandchildren, Peter Kelley, Sarah Kelley, Seth McGuire-Wagner, Carliegh Wagner and Corwin Wagner; a brother Corwin Morey of Columbus, a sister Leah Moore of Michigan, several nieces and nephews, and very special friends Roberta Johnson of Texas and Orpha McCartney of Mount Vernon.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Keith Stuart Ph.D. officiating. Friends may call from noon until time of the services on Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Mound View Cemetery. The North-Dilley Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is handling the arrangements.

William ‘Bill’ Whited
FREDERICKTOWN — William L. “Bill” Whited,
69, of Yankee Street, Fredericktown, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, in the emergency
room of Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
He was born June 25, 1938, in Grundy, Va., to Dale and Dorothy (Stiltner) Whited. Bill was a 1957 graduate of Fredericktown High School and worked 32 years as a supervisor for Ideal Electric Co. in Mansfield before retiring from Siemens Corp. in Cincinnati. He was an avid outdoorsman that included hunting, fishing and arrowhead collecting. Bill enjoyed being in his garden, but most important to him was the quality time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joann (Payne) Whited; two sons, Brian (Sherri) Whited and Todd Whited, both of Fredericktown; a daughter, Tonya (Scott) Sant of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren, Katie Whited, Bree Sant, Brandon Sant and Brock Sant; a brother, Leonard (Marjorie) Whited of Mount Vernon; nine sisters, Ruby (Darrell) Morgan of Mansfield, Shirley (Leroy) Swihart of Fredericktown, Velda (Jim) Compton of Honaker, Va., Rosemary Wallace of Mount Vernon, Loretta (Harlan) Zolman of Mount Vernon, Joyce (Bob) Kissel of Butler, Faye (Damon) Armstrong of Marion, and Lanna (Noah) Wallace and Kay (Charlie) Irey, both of Crestline.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Joe Blevins will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Priscilla A. Wilbert
ARLINGTON, Texas — Priscilla Ann (Dickinson) Wilbert
passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Priscilla was born April 26, 1947, in Takoma Park, Md., to Richard and Florence Dickinson. She was a 1965 graduate of the Mount Vernon Academy and attended Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, Md. A music teacher, composer, arranger and an unforgettable soprano, her beautiful songs will long be remembered by her family and friends. During her long illness, she was lovingly cared for by her mother.
Surviving are her mother of Arlington, Texas; her children, Dr. Glen (Shari) Wilbert of Arlington, Texas, Heather (Dr. Blayne) Laws of Ennis, Texas, and Jennifer Olson of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Gunnar, Hannah and Sam Wilbert and Donny and Zachary Laws; a sister, Andrea (Del) Johnson of Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her father; and husband, Lloyd G. “Skip” Wilbert II, whom she married Dec. 24, 1966.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 25, at 4 p.m. at the Mansfield Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1040 W. Cook Road. Pastor Del Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Ontario Cemetery.
