Eva I. Switzer
DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. — Eva Irene Switzer, 103, of Downingtown,
Pa., died Tuesday, June 26, 2007.
She was the wife of the late George R. Switzer, who died in 1995 and with whom she shared 70 years of marriage.
Born in Matthews, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Emile and the late Josephine Gueulette Mayer. She was a gradate of Salem College in Salem, W.Va.
She is survived by her son, James A. Switzer and his wife, E. Carolyn of Downingtown, with whom she resided; her sister, Edna Coffing Orsborn of Mount Vernon, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by two sons, George Emile Switzer and Jack H. Switzer; three brothers, Herman Mayer, Herbert Mayer and Glenn Mayer; one sister, Velma Langlett of Mount Vernon; and a nephew, M. Keith Coffing.
Graveside service were held at Washington Cemetery in Washington, Pa.
