Virginia Bowsher
CENTERBURG — Virginia Bowsher, 59, of Centerburg and
formerly of Duelce, Colo., passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at the Heartland
of Centerburg.
She was born Oct. 20, 1947, in Taplin, W.Va. Virginia was an artist. She loved to paint, bead, write and watch sci-fi movies.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim Conley of Marengo and Racheal Heath of Farmington, N.M.; a son, John (Mary) Bowsher of Fredericktown; her mother, Mary DiFrancisco of Marengo; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gordon DiFrancisco of Vermilion, Joseph DiFrancisco of Lorain and Ronald DiFrancisco of Midland; and two sisters, Belinda Phelps of Delaware and Vicky Adkins of Cardington.
Virginia was preceded in death by her father, Patrick DeFrancisco; and a brother, John DeFrancisco.
There will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private service at a later date. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

MANSFIELD — Lela Iona Hipp, 79, of Mansfield died Monday evening,
May 14, 2007, at Whispering Hills Nursing Home.
She was born June 1, 1927, in Lexington, the daughter of Ross Lemont and Hazel Barbara (Morris) Parrott. She retired from Therm-O-Disc.
She is survived by a niece, Barbara Fletcher of Westerville; nephew, William L. Parrott of Lancaster; sister-in-law, Dorothy Parrott of Mount Vernon; and a number of cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Beulah Parrott; and two brothers, William and Stanley Parrott.
Inurnment will be in Sand Ridge Cemetery at a later date. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.

Diana D. Smith
RICH HILL — Diana D. Smith, 53, of Rich Hill passed away
Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.
She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Centerburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Ann DeRossett.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Bill Smith; children, Mikki Ammons (Todd Hott) of Rich Hill and Billi Smith (Shawn Miller) of Centerburg; seven grandchildren; one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church St., Centerburg, where service will be Saturday, May 19, at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Charles Peterson will officiate. Interment will be in Rich Hill Cemetery.

MOUNT VERNON — Wilbur Travis, 83, of Mount Vernon passed away Wednesday evening, May 16, 2007, at the Rose Garden Nursing Home in Mount Vernon.
