Mable L. Albert
MOUNT VERNON — Mable L. Albert, 82, of Mount Vernon died
Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Mable was born Aug. 4, 1924, in Howard to Irvin and Edith (Hall) Conkle and had spent her lifetime in the Mount Vernon area. She was a member of the Howard Church of Christ. Mable was a private person by nature but her passion in life was her family.
Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Bill and Peggy Albert and Gary Albert, all of Mount Vernon; her granddaughters and their spouses, Jodie and Kevin Boyd, and Angela and Aaron Hedges; her great-grandchildren, Kelsie Boyd, Timothy Boyd, Jordan Hedges and Hannah Hedges; her brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Joan Conkle of Mount Vernon; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Grace and John Thompson of Centerburg, and Pearl and Bernard Mortimer of Mount Vernon.
Mable was preceded in death by her husband, F. Gaylord Albert; her granddaughter, Rene Albert; her daughter-in-law, Marilyn (Hurlow) Albert; her sisters, Jean Albert, Leota Baker and Mae Albert; and her brothers, Ralph Conkle, Larry Conkle, Harold Conkle and Carl Conkle.
Funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon with Mr. Ben McKinstry officiating. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours before the funeral.
