William Compton III
JOHNSTOWN — William R. “Bill” Compton
III, 22, of Johnstown died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at Ohio State Medical Center
from injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born on July 24, 1984, in Columbus to William II and Tamra (Napolitano) Compton of Johnstown. Bill was a graduate of Olentangy High School, class of 2002. A member of the FOE Linden Aerie 2252 and he was employed as a plumber with Jack L. Woods Plumbing,
He is survived by his parents, Bill and Tamra Compton II, brother, Michael, and sister, Courtney, all of Johnstown; grandparents, Laura Compton of Marengo, Mike Napolitano of Centervillage and Barbara Napolitano of New Albany; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, William Compton; and great-grandparents, Frank and Josephine Napolitano.

Lois B. Frost Memorial service
TAMPA, Fla. — Lois Barbara (Chadil) Frost,
59, of Tampa, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 25, 2006, after a one-year
battle with cancer. A Mass of Resurrection for Lois will be held Friday, Jan.
12, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville. The Rev. F. Richard Snoke
will be the celebrant.

Edwin P. Harry Sr.
MOUNT VERNON — Edwin P. Harry Sr., 91, of Delano Street,
Mount Vernon, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at
his residence.
He was born on Dec. 29, 1915, in La Grange, Ga., to the late Charles and Mary (Webb) Harry. Edwin retired in 1980 after 40 years of service with Penn Central railroad. He was an active member of Faith Baptist Church and The Station Break of Mount Vernon where he played in the bell choir. Edwin had a passion for sharing his faith with others.
He is survived by his loving family, three sons, Edwin (Tracey) Harry Jr. of Howard, Richard Harry of Mount Vernon and David Harry of Mount Vernon; a daughter, Karen (Donald) Durbin of Mount Vernon; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles (Val) Harry of West Melbourne, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie O. Harry (1990); and a sister, Virginia Hood.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Faith Baptist Church, 8764 Martinsburg Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Merlyn Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lulu M. Shultz
MOUNT VERNON — Lulu Mary (Leedy) Shultz, 91, formerly
of North Mulberry Street, died Jan. 8, 2007, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.
She spent her lifetime in Knox County and was born June 27, 1915, in Butler to Ober James and Elizabeth Mae (Yauger) Leedy. She graduated from Fredericktown High School class of 1932, was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, the WFC Class and the Rebecca Woman’s Circle of the church, and helped cook and serve many church dinners. She was a poll worker and received a certificate of appreciation from the state of Ohio for consistently voting for 50 years. She retired from Atlantic & Pacific (A&P) Grocery after 18 years of service as a bakery manager and office worker.
She is survived by a son, Darwin (Ellen) Shultz of Mount Vernon; a daughter, Marjorie (Ronald) Ridenour of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Sandra Clutter of Virginia Beach, Va., Cindy Shultz of Mount Vernon, Sue (Keith) Pavilonis of Bainbridge, Steve (Janet) Shultz of Palm Bay, Fla., and Greg Ridenour of Mansfield; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn Beer of Mansfield; two brothers, Harley (Ruby) Leedy of Mount Vernon and Edwin (Nila) Leedy of Fredericktown; and a sister-in-law, Naomi Leedy.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Harold Henry Shultz, who died on June 30, 2003; brothers, Kenneth and Frederick Leedy; and a sister, Mabel Tharp.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rodney Buchanan officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Ankenytown Cemetery. The North-Dilley Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is handling the arrangements.

MOUNT VERNON — Michelle Smith, 51, of Vernonview Drive,
Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at the Mount Vernon Developmental
Center.
She was born Oct. 17, 1955, in Cuyahoga County. She has been a longtime resident here at the Developmental Center and was appreciated and loved by the staff.
Michelle was preceded in death by her mother, Marion Smith.
A graveside service will be held Friday beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Ebenezer Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Hill officiating.
