BRIGHTON, Mich. — R. Malcolm Bone, 85, of Brighton, Mich.,
formerly of Gambier, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, in Michigan.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. with Evangelist Jerold Tear officiating. Burial with military honors by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council will follow at Union Grove Cemetery near Gambier.

Betty J. Cly
DANVILLE — Betty Jean Cly, 81, of Plum Street, Danville,
died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.
She was born Dec. 6, 1925, in Bladensburg to Walter C. and Sarah E. (Rutledge) Beach. On Sept. 16, 1944, she was married to George Walter Cly. She was a member of the Millwood Church of Christ.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary (Jack) Holland of Golden Valley, Ariz., Helen (Donnie) Truex of Howard and Jeannie (Randy) Frazee of Walhonding; a son, Richard Cly of Howard; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Donna (Norman) Deitz; sisters-in-law, Thelma and Mary Beach and Jeanette (Dale) Hans; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Walter, who died on Oct. 1, 2000; brothers, Owen and Walter Beach; and a great-grandson, Jason Charette.
A funeral service was held Sunday at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Evangelist David Jones officiated. Burial will be in Workman Cemetery.

Cora Harper
MOUNT VERNON — Cora Harper, 88, of Mount Vernon passed away
on Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at the Ohio Eastern Home in Mount Vernon.
She was born on July 21, 1918, in Arjay, Ky., a daughter of the late Hugh and Lula (Sanders) Lovett. Cora was a member of the Centerburg United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Circle. She was also a former member of Centerburg Order of Eastern Star.
Cora is survived by her loving and caring daughter, Sharon (Dr. John W.) Ewalt of Howard; a granddaughter, Lee Anne Neuman; two stepgrandsons, John C. and David C. Ewalt; a stepgranddaughter, Gretchen Moore; four great-grandchildren, Melanie Jillian, Sidney and Travis Neuman; and four stepgreat-grandchildren, Nicklaus and Jeremy Ewalt, and Cameron and Lindsey Moore.
In addition to her parents, Cora was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Sheridan Cupp, and her second husband, Claris (Bud) Harper; brothers, William, Luke and Jesse Lovett; and a sister, Lelia Kimberly.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel in the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon with the Rev. Diane Cook officiating. The family will observe a private burial in the East View Cemetery in Centerburg.

Vaughn M. VanWinkle
FRAZEYSBURG — Vaughn M. VanWinkle, 82, of Frazeysburg
died Dec. 29, 2006, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 31, 1924, in Frazeysburg to Charles and Della (Ashcraft) VanWinkle. He was a member of Perry Chapel Baptist Church. He was a lifelong farmer in Licking County and was a longtime employee of Fallsbury Township.
He is survived by one sister, Helen Cullison of Frazeysburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Lucille, Roger, Harold, Lowell and George.
Friends may call at the Harris-Dilley Funeral Home in Bladensburg on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m., where the funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Fowls officiating. Burial will be in the VanWinkle Cemetery.
