James O. Baggs
COLUMBUS — James Owen Baggs, 81, passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at Worthington Christian Village, where he volunteered for 10 years.

James was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of First Alliance Church and Powell Christian Church. He retired from Jeffrey Manufacturing. He was an avid Buckeye fan and “Red Coat” for 30 years.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Ann Baggs; parents, Warner and Edith Baggs; brothers, Tom and Paul Baggs; and sister, Geraldine Nichols.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Baggs; daughters, Deborah (Lee) Pierce and Jo Ellen (Ronald) Holling; stepchildren, Sandra Taylor, Kim (Tommy) Jones and Ellis Taylor; grandchildren, Brian (Onie) Pierce, Andrew (Shari) Pierce, Michael (Sara) Pierce, Christopher (Holly) Holling, Mark Holling, Matthew Holling, Bradlay (Lauren) Jones and Samantha Taylor; great-grandson, Bradlay Jones II; brother, Warren Baggs; sister, Martha (Charles) Stoner; brother-in-law, Bill Nichols; sisters-in-law, Donna and Martha Baggs; and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, where the funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 11, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Hugh Snepp will officiate. Interment will immediately follow in Mound View Cemetery at Mount Vernon.

Contributions may be made to Worthington Christian Village, First Alliance Church or Powell Christian Church.

Naomi C. Fairchild
MOUNT VERNON — Naomi C. Fairchild, 88, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Fredericktown, passed away Thursday evening, Dec. 7, 2006, in the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

Clarence R. Tucker
UTICA — Clarence Richard Tucker, 72, of Utica passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Jersey Cemetery in Jersey Township with Brother John Miller officiating.

Clarence was born on June 17, 1934, to the late Herman and Ethel (Mossholder) Tucker in Baltimore, Ohio.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Arnold) Tucker; children, Rick (Sally Witt) Tucker of Mount Vernon, Becky Tucker of Mansfield, John (Kathy) Tucker of Pataskala, Dan (Bev) Tucker of Tennessee and Phillip (Shirley) Tucker of Centerburg; two brothers; three sisters; along with many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Clarence’s daughter Ethel precedes him in death.

Arrangements are being handled by Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home in Johnstown.
