Christopher Abernethy
WARSAW — Christopher Jon Abernethy, 36, of 129 E. 4th St., Warsaw, died Oct. 20, 2006, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born Jan. 31, 1970, in Putuxant River, Md., to Chuck and Peg (Matheson) Abernethy. He was an aircraft mechanic for Missionary Maintenance Service in Coshocton and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dana (Harmsen) Abernethy, whom he married Oct. 9, 1993. Also surviving are his children, Caleb, Lydia and JoAnna; his parents, Chuck and Peg Abernethy of Coopeville, Wash.; two sisters, Lyn Campbell of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Margaret Salazar of Sumner, Wash.; four brothers, Brian and Dave Abernethy of Bothell, Wash., Tim Abernethy of Houston, Texas, and Phil Abernethy of Graham, Wash.

A celebration of Chris’ life was held Tuesday at the Calvary Baptist Church, Coshocton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for Chris’ children’s education in care of Calvary Baptist Church, 46621 U.S. 36, Coshocton, OH 43812.

Patricia A. Rose
UTICA — A Mass of Christian burial for Patricia A. Rose, 76, of Utica, formerly of West Palm Beach, Fla., will be held Friday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. at The Church of the Nativity Catholic Church, with the Rev. Carl Clagett as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Pat died Oct. 24, 2006, at Utica Care Center. She was born July 18, 1930, in Cincinnati to Henry O. and Mildred L. (Klinker) Wagner. She was a member of The Church of the Nativity Catholic Church. Pat also retired from Hocking College as a teacher.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, William W. Rose of Utica; sons and daughters-in-law, James R. Rose of Atlanta, Ga., Paul W. and Mary Rose of Millersport, Michael W. Rose of Grove City, Donald A. and Anna Rose of Wellington, Fla.; daughters and son-in-law, Nancy L. Rose of Hebron, Karen J. Hoffman of Grove City, Donna J. Rose of St. Louisville, Marie and Sean Mulligan of Utica; 17 grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Bob Jones of Bay Village; sister-in-law, Linda Wagner of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William W. Wagner; and sister, Barbara J. Widdoes.

Friends may call Thursday, Oct. 26, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.
