Wayne L. Deshong Sr.
ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. — Wayne L. Deshong Sr., 56, of Abbottstown, Pa., formerly
of Hanover, passed peacefully Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at Ross Heart Hospital in
Columbus, Ohio.
Born Sept. 4, 1950, in West Virginia, he was a son of Ella Mae (Seburn) Deshong of Abbottstown, Pa., and the late Wayne E. Deshong. Wayne was employed as a truck driver for over 30 years having been with Blue Diamond Trucking in Baltimore. He was a member of the Teamsters Union as well as the AARP National. Wayne was an avid Steelers fan and a loving father and grandfather.
Surviving are three sons, Wayne L. Deshong Jr. of Dover, Pa., David J. Deshong of Hanover, Pa., and Steve Deshong of Mount Vernon, Ohio; three daughters, Tammy S. Deshong of Hanover, Pa., Nicole S. Deshong of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Heather Deshong of Mount Vernon, Ohio; one brother, Ronald Deshong, of Abbottstown, Pa.; two sisters, Wilma L. Henschke of New Oxford, Pa., and Sue Stonesifer of Hunterstown, Pa.; and six grandchildren, Avery Wayne Deshong, Brady Deshong, Alek Deshong, Jacob Deshong, Shawn Corridori and Bryson Basinger.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, Pa., with the Rev. Ted Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. the time of service Wednesday. There will be no viewing.

Maryellen Krieg
MOUNT VERNON — Maryellen (Shattuck) Krieg, 76, of Mount Vernon, formerly
of Logan, passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2006, at Country Court Nursing Center
in Mount Vernon.
She was born Aug. 1, 1930, in Jackson, the daughter of Kenneth V. and Jeanette (Blankenship) Shattuck. She was the widow of Joseph P. Krieg, who died Oct. 29, 1999. Mrs. Krieg was a homemaker, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Logan, and a founder of the Klotheskloset.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth A. (Anne) Krieg of McClean, Va.; a daughter, Ellen (Fred) Boll of Mansfield; and grandchildren, Allen (Meredith) Krieg of McClean, Va., and Cecilia (Eric) Boll of Mansfield.
Friends may call Monday, Sept. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home, 60 W. Hunter St., Logan. A memorial service will be Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Logan. The Rev. Lawrence R. Hoffmann will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

James J. Marvin
FREDERICKTOWN — James J. Marvin, 56, of Fredericktown died Thursday, Sept.
21, 2006, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus.
James was born May 19, 1950, in Columbus to Ovaid and Dorothy (McCann) Marvin and had attended Columbus West High School. He served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970. James had been employed at the Boeing Corp. in Newark. He attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon. James’ hobby was fishing but his passion in life was his family most especially his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine (Ream) Marvin, whom he married Dec. 26, 1970; his son, Joseph Marvin of Fredericktown; his two daughters, Shannon (Jason) Russell of Fredericktown and Julie Marvin of Howard; four grandchildren, Matthew Russell, Katie Russell, Tommy Russell and Alexis McKee; his sister, Terry Huffman of Grove City; his brother, David Marvin of Grove City; his stepbrothers, Donald Marvin and Matt Rockham.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Marvin; and a stepsister, Ruth Gouge.
Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where a prayer service will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Mount Vernon, with the Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
