Richard W. Buell
SUNBURY — Richard W. “Dick” Buell, 72, of Sunbury died Tuesday morning, Sept. 5, 2006, at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.

He was born on Jan. 31, 1934, in Columbus to the late Glenard M. and Freda M. (Linnabary) Buell. A retired retail clerk for Safeway Stores, he had also worked as an assistant for the Slack, Spears and DeVore Funeral Homes.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Tressa; daughters, Dianne (Tim) Burwell of Westerville, Dawn Gaines of Sunbury and Dee Buell of Columbus; sons, David M. (Alison) Buell of Columbus; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Judy Buell of Johnstown.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Lynne Tippett Buell, in 1988; daughter, Deborah Lynne; son, Donald Buell; his parents; and many brothers and sisters in Christ both living and deceased.

Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Tom Hypes officiating. Burial will follow in Berkshire Cemetery.

Bill R. Griffith
HOWARD — William “Bill” Russell Griffith, 54, of Brush Run Road, died Sept. 1, 2006 at his residence.

He was born July 30, 1952, to John R. and Edna M. (Farley) Griffith.

He is survived by his mother, Edna of Danville; three sons, William J. Griffith of Mount Vernon, David A. Griffith of Crooksville and Danny R. Griffith of Howard; two daughters, Paula M. Hart of Coshocton, and Carrie E. Butts of Danville; eight grandchildren; a sister, Loretta J. Mertz of Danville; four brothers, John H. Griffith of Texas, Clarence A. and James H. Griffith, both of Howard, and Carl J. Griffith of Idaho; and “the best dog in Knox County,” Randy Griffith.

He was preceded in death by his father, John; a brother, Charles R. Griffith; and a sister, Edna Jean Frazee.

Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Ben McKinstry will officiate. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery at Centerburg. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a meal following the service at the Millwood Church of Christ.

Rachel D. Yoder
FREDERICKTOWN — Rachel D. Yoder, 2, of 6801 Ridge Road, Fredericktown, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006, at her residence. Born June 22, 2004, in Fredericktown, she was the daughter of David R. and Martha R. (Troyer) Yoder.

Surviving are her parents; brothers and sisters, Ella, Roy, Mary, Aaron, Barbara, Miriam, Robert, David Jr., Effie, Edna and Michael; paternal grandmother, Ella (Miller) Yoder; maternal grandparents, Robert J. and Ella A. (Weaver) Troyer.

Funeral services were this morning at the residence. Visitation was held Monday and Tuesday at the residence.
