Joseph M. Curry
HUDSON, Fla. — Joseph M. Curry, 52, of Hudson, Fla., died April 5, 2006,
at Hospice House in New Port Richey, Fla., following a brief illness.
He was born in Mount Vernon on Dec. 13, 1953. He was a construction worker and self-employed as a furniture refinisher.
He was preceded in death by his father, James E. “Bud” Curry.
Besides his mother, Ruby Thiel, he is survived by his wife, Tobey Huggins; three sons, Casey Curry of California and Joseph and Jesse Curry of Mount Vernon; daughter, Stacy Thomas of Akron; a grandson, Christian Curry of Mount Vernon; three brothers, Gene (Jonette) Curry of Mount Vernon, Greg (A.P.) Curry of Fredericktown and Calvin Curry of Hudson, Fla.; a sister, Patty (Ron) Morris of Howard; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be Tuesday, May 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the New Life Church of the Nazarene, 998 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. The Rev. Kevin Peterson will officiate.

Roy Hall
CENTERBURG — Roy Hall, 73, of Centerburg passed away Wednesday morning,
May 10, 2006, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.
He was born in Banner, Ky., on Dec. 4, 1932, to the late Oliver and Goldie (Curtis) Hall. He had lived in Centerburg since 1959, coming from Sunbury. Roy had worked for 35 years at the Galena Brick and Shale Co. as a foreman and then at Kelsey-Hayes in Mount Vernon as an assembler, retiring in 1994.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty (Howard) Hall and they were married Oct. 11, 1951, in Galena; son, Bobby (Jennifer) Hall of Reynoldsburg; daughter, Malinda (Ken) Clustsam of Pickerington; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Otto (Carole) Hall; sisters, Faye Boggs, Jean (Ted) Goodman and Patsy (James) Wilson; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin; two sisters; a brother; and a brother-in-law.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, where service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. with Pastor J.R. Elizabeth H. Willa
MOUNT VERNON — Elizabeth H. Willa, 89, of Mount Vernon died Sunday, May
7, 2006, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. Elizabeth was born July
5, 1916, in New Jersey to the late Harry and Ida (Laverty) Kent. She had lived
in Streetsboro for over 30 years before moving to Mount Vernon in 2002. Elizabeth
had worked for Kroger and the Streetsboro City Schools, and was very involved
with the Girl Scouts.
She is survived by one son, two daughters, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; one grandson; one great-grandson; three brothers; and one sister.
Funeral service will be Saturday, May 13, at noon at the Shorts Funeral Homes Inc., 9781 Page Road, Streetsboro, OH 44266, with the Rev. Bill Snyder officiating. Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Streetsboro.
