Cheryl D. Albert
DANVILLE — Cheryl Dee Albert, 59, of Hoover Road, Danville, died Friday, May 5, 2006, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital.

She was born April 12, 1947, in Toledo to the late Arthur and Virginia (Haverman) Karchoff. On Sept. 25, 1977, she was married to Allan Albert, who survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two stepchildren, Jay Albert of Berea and Elizabeth Lewton of Hinckley; and a sister, Judy Hogue of Ocala, Fla.

Mary Ann Boeshart
MOUNT VERNON — Mary Ann Boeshart, 86, of Mount Vernon passed away Friday, May 5, 2006, at the Country Club Retirement Campus, Mount Vernon.

She was born May 12, 1919, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Calvin Vance and Elsie Marie (Johnston) Heinlein. Mary Ann retired from Kenyon College in Gambier as a cashier and was a member of the Kenyon Ladies. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon and also a member of American Association of Retired Persons. Mary loved to play cards and crochet. In October of 2005, Mary was the resident of the month at the Country Club Retirement Campus.

Surviving Mary are her loving sons, John F. “Jack” Rheinscheld and wife, Patty, of Howard and Timothy L. Rheinscheld and wife, Cathy, of Columbus; a grandson; a stepgrandson; a great-grandson; three stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Tony (Loretta) Boeshart; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd Rheinscheld; her second husband, Charles F. Boeshart; sisters, Betty Jane Anderson and Vada M. Kirkpatrick; and brothers, Calvin and John Heinlein.

Friends will be received Monday, May 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 9, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Gertrude A. North
SUNBURY — Gertrude A. “GiGi” North passed away Friday morning, May 5, 2006, at her residence at Woodlands at Eastland.

She was born in Gifford, Ill., to the late Gardner and Effie Darter. GiGi enjoyed square dancing and was the Party Committee coordinator at the Woodlands.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Walker of Mount Vernon and Sharon Apple of South Carolina; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Billie Large of Frankfort Ind.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, John “Jack” Goodman, in 1973, and Lester North, in 2003; three brothers, Glenn, Boots and Dude; and two sisters, Ruth and Lois.

Friends may call Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, where services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Booth officiating. Interment will follow in the Burnside Cemetery.

Mark L. Shepherd
CENTERBURG — Mark L. Shepherd, 48, of Centerburg passed away Thursday, May 4, 2006, at Knox Community Hospital, Mount Vernon.

He was employed by Knox County Veterans Service Office in Mount Vernon. He was a member of Centerburg United Methodist Church, AMVETS Post 59 of Centerburg, and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Betty Shepherd.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 21 years, Teresa L.; sons, Mark and Michael; brothers, Clark (Sue), Fred (Vicky) and Ed (Sharon); sisters, Penny and Sherry; mother- in-law and father-in-law, Wally and Mary Palmer; brothers-in-law, Mike, Craig, John, Carl (Denni) and Matt (Kristi); sister-in-law, Heidi; mother-in-law, Jackie Neal; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Oral Ray, Semper Fi.

Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church St., Centerburg. Funeral service will be held Monday, May 8, at 11 a.m. at the Centerburg United Methodist Church, 23 Church St., Centerburg. Pastor Gary Pollock will officiate. Private interment.
