Hubert ‘Buck’ Jagger
LOCK — Hubert D. “Buck” Jagger, 92, of Lock died Thursday, March
30, 2006, at his home.
He was a retired farmer and barber, and a member of Lock Federated Church and Mount Zion Lodge 9, F&AM, formerly Bloomfield Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Velma (Hatfield) Jagger; children, Susan (Carl) Holbrook of Warren, Stephen (Judy) Jagger of Mount Vernon, Dale (Dona) Jagger of Baltimore, Ohio, and Rowena (Bradley) Kyle of Utica; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Elizabeth (Hawkins) Jagger; sisters, Mary Riley and Audrey Champion; brothers, Don and David Jagger.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church St., Centerburg. Service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Lock Federated Church with the Rev. Jack Clouston officiating. Interment will be in Lock Cemetery.
George Kirkpatrick
DANVILLE — George Franklin Kirkpatrick, 82, of Buckeye Road, Danville, died
Friday morning, March 31, 2006, in his home, following a short illness.
He was born May 27, 1923, in Butler to Walter and Maude (Schrader) Kirkpatrick, and attended Butler Schools. A World War II Army veteran, George served with Company L, 345th Infantry in the European Theater.
He is survived by two sons, Eugene (Carole) Kirkpatrick of Shelby and Edward (Anne) Kirkpatrick of Lincolnton, N.C.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald “Pete” Kirkpatrick of Butler; a brother, Earl (Marge) Kirkpatrick of Butler, nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Sandy Ballengee.
A sister, Alice Baker, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Zion Cemetery, near Butler. Military honors will be conducted by the Irvin Hiskey Post 535 American Legion, Bellville.

Louise F. Rush
BELLVILLE — Louise F. Rush, 79, of Bellville died March 31, 2006, at her
residence.
She was born June 6, 1926, in Mount Vernon to Charles W. and Edith (Lewis) Hurps. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Glenwood Chapter 303 OES and the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Harold F. Rush, to whom she had been married 59 years; one brother, Lewis (Juanita) Hurps of Brandon; two sisters, Juanita Dowds of Tallahassee, Fla., and Virginia Buxton of Urbana; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Ralph and Russell Hurps; one sister, Elizabeth Hurps.
Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the North-Dilley Funeral Home. There will be an Eastern Star Service on Monday at 7:45 p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mound View Cemetery.
