Jane Bennett
MILLERSBURG — Jane Bennett, 63, of Millersburg went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, while at MedCentral Health System in Mansfield.

She was born Oct. 6, 1942, to William A. and Fleuridellis (Parker) Bennett.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, and is survived by two daughters, Sandy (Joe) Hammons of Brinkhaven and Twila Cowger of Mount Vernon; two sons, Tim Bennett and Jack Kinsey of Howard; several grandchildren; four brothers, Paris E. Bennett of Danville, Bobby R. (Irene) Bennett of Warsaw, Elbin D. (Karen) Bennett of Howard and Thomas S. (Ann) Bennett of Fredericktown; and two sisters, Mary Ball of Danville and Sylvia Looney of Howard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Joseph and Arthur Bennett.

A funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Brian Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. This obituary may be viewed online at www.fischerfuneralhome.com.

Robert M. Combs
OCALA, Fla. — Robert M. Combs, 73, of Ocala, Fla., died Feb. 20, 2006, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Combs was a retired petroleum plant manager in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He loved puzzles, playing cards and bowling; and was a volunteer at Hospice Thrift Store. Mr. Combs was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Helen; a son, James H. Combs of Ocala, Fla.; a sister, Phyllis (Raymond) Warner of Fredericktown; brothers, Ralph (Dixie) Combs of Centerburg and Roger Combs of Meadowlands, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lee Combs, in 1977.

Friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church St., Centerburg, where service will be at 1 p.m. Roger Crego, minister, will officiate. Interment will be in Green Camp Cemetery at Marion.

Mary Laughrey
MOUNT VERNON — Mary J. Laughrey, 89, of Sychar Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at Northview Senior Living Center in Johnstown. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
