Lawrence L. Lambert
GAMBIER — Lawrence Lee Lambert, 50, of Gambier died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005,
at Mount Carmel East in Columbus.
Lawrence was born July 7, 1955, in Westerville. He had been self-employed as a core buyer. He was a member of the Utica American Legion, had been active with several bowling leagues in Utica and was an avid golfer.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah Lynn (Ostermeyer) Lambert; his mother, Patricia (Hatten) Taylor of Utica; two daughters, Shannon (Jeff) Woods of Utica and Sheila Lambert of Newark; stepdaughter, Amber Berkley of Mount Vernon; stepsons, Chad Insley of Mount Vernon and Brock (Stacie) Berkley of Newark; two grandchildren, Whitney Woods and Kaela Berkley; two sisters, Mary Braswell of Canton and Thelma (Mike) Gruber of St. Louisville; and three brothers, Tracy (Mary) Lambert of Camden, Tenn., John (Tina) Brown of Grove City and Melvin (Bonnie) Lambert of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ira Lambert; and a sister. Lawrence was loved and will be missed by many friends.
The family will observe services at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.

Thomas Roberts Jr.
UTICA — Thomas F. “Chief” Roberts Jr., 87, of Utica passed away
Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, surrounded
by loved ones.
Chief was born in Newark on July 6, 1918, to Thomas F. and Mary (Darnes) Roberts and was a lifelong farmer and truck driver who also raised and sold registered Percherons.
He is survived by 10 children, Thomas (Jessie) Roberts of St. Louisville, John (Joanne) Roberts of Johnstown, Benjamin Roberts of Utica, Marjorie Kay Roberts of Fuquay Varina, N.C., Stefanie (Mike) Manley of Granville, Sharon (Don) Meredith of Sylvania, Pamela (Ron) Cannon, Rebecca Tracy and Wendy (Eric) Collins of Newark and Candace (David) Reeder of Utica. Also survived by 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and an uncle, John (Mina) Darnes of Newark. Chief is also survived by his Percherons, Sally and Patty; and his beloved best friend and canine companion Ruby, along with many, many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 52 years, Marjorie (Schlupp) Roberts; a sister, Betty Mossman; and a great-granddaughter, Hannah Reeder.
As per his request, there will be no services or calling hours. The arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home.
